Mozilla Firefox is strongly recommended as the browser for downloads because of how the security feature is built in giving you easy access to allow or discard the downloaded softwares. You are going to install two (2) folders. They will be in Local Disk (C), Program Files (x86). Edcast and Winamp folders.
Five (5) Downloads
Note
1. The Account that you will download into should be an Administrator Account!
2. Have at least 2 folders (shortcut) on your desk top. Because you will move items from the download folder into the winamp folder for example
3. Configuration, Basic settings. Server Type, Shoutcast. Mountpoint, /live
4. On the edcast controls beside the mic icon verify that the mic you are using is visible.
A talk show host will have 100% independence!
No Dj required. He/she will have two (2) encoders. Edcast (Stand Alone) and Edcast with Winamp. Edcast Stand Alone will be used in the first month for practice. During your time slot we will play music or other audio, a lecture for example. You will be able to connect live. You will be able to talk live on air and interact with callers. When you disconnect the music or lecture will continue. Edcast with Winamp will be used in the second month (week 5). You will be able to play your own music and audio, and have more control! When you connect your audio will be heard live by the listeners. To talk click the Red X over the mic on edcast. When finished talking click it again to show the X. It operates like a switch, On and Off
Note. Do not keep the Auto Connect checked. Auto Connect makes you Live on the radio instantly!
